is the day-to-day or hour-to-hour change in the athmosphere. Weather includes wind, lightning, storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, rain, hail, snow and lots more. 
Energy from the Sun affects the weather . Climate tells us what kinds of weather usually happen in an area at different times of the year. 







Can lockdown affect the weather

India shut itself to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus, one silver lining has been the  drastic improvemnt in air quality. there is no opposition to the fact that the pollution levels dropped sharply across most of the Indian cities. 



As CO2 increases, the athmospheric temperature increases , As temperature rises, the moisture holding capacity of air inccrease, therefore the water vapour content in the athmosphere also witnesses a spike.

  • Majestic Himalayan range now visible from Saharanpur. While the coronavirus pandemic has brought the world to a standstill, there has been a severe drop in pollution levels in the country as well. This has made people view nature and our environment in a different light

Along with falling pollution levels, there have been sightings of vulnerable species and reports of crystal clear rivers have also emerged over the world.

Lockdown improve water quality of Ganga and Yamuna has improved significantly in the areas with reduced industrial activities.



The river ganga's water quality has improved with the increase in dissolved Oxygen and reduced nitrate concentration of dissolved oxygen increase during the lockdown period.

ONGC Shuts 2 Rigs After Spurt in Coronavirus Cases
